It was built in the year 1814 and has paved the way for almost more than 400 museums in India. It is also known as the Imperial Museum at Calcutta. There might be many other museums in the country but the largest and the second largest museum in India have their own specialty and uniqueness. 

The Government Museum in Chennai is also a famous one that attracts lots of tourists also and was established in the year 1851 and if you are a history lover or a history enthusiast then this is the place for you as you will get much information about history too which will increase your knowledge.
